Today started off with the dog howling and waking me from my deep sleep. I am a light sleeper except the first couple of hours after first falling asleep. Then I got up to turn on the heater and that woke my girls' puppy, Milo. Once he starts he will bark and whimper for hours until you let him out of the room. I was awake, tired but awake so checked my email, facebook and instagram...yes I am addicted to social media and my tablet is literally glued to my hands haha! Then I got up and went into the living room, opened the curtains and started making breakfast. Pancakes and eggs every morning, I tried rice, bacon and scrambled eggs one day to see if my girls would like it but it was a fail, I liked it though, it was my mom and grandmas fav breakfast meal. Then my girls got up and ate while watching their winx club movie. They are ages two and four and the loves of my life. Once they were done it was schoolwork time, I am teaching my four year old how to read and getting her ready for school next year. We might do homeschool but my husband and I are still undecided. After an hour of math and reading it's cleanup time around the house. Laundry, sweeping and toy pickup from the kitchen to the living room and even my bed haha. Put on Christmas music and mommy sang along haha. By then it's almost lunchtime and my husband comes home for lunch so he has his usual cold sandwich (turkey, roast beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, mayo, mustard and pickles). After he leaves I feed Sammy, our german shepherd, and check the mail (it's right across the road, I love it!). Growing up when my mom checked the mail it was 30 min away and it was a p.o. box. Now I have my mailbox right outside and I wish it was that easy growing up haha. I remember the old days growing up, dial up internet, no netflix, no smartphone, no facebook, cassette tapes, etc. I tell my girls how easy it is these days, everything at your fingertips. So electronics are limited to them so they can be kids and play with toys and each other. After dinner was made (spaghetti) it was mommys time to relax and watch Grey's Anatomy, I am hooked. My top three series are Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy and The Walking Dead. Then my husband relaxes and plays xbox then he goes to sleep early because his job requires a lot of driving and it takes a lot out of him. Right before bed I do one last email check and social media check then off to sleep. Finally haha!
